FATORES ASSOCIADOS À SAÚDE MENTAL DE ESTUDANTES UNIVERSITÁRIOS: PROPOSTA DE MODELO TEÓRICO

O período dedicado à vida universitária é marcado por características particulares desta etapa de vida. Neste espaço de tempo e contexto os recursos pessoais de cada estudante são utilizados no enfrentamento de novas demandas. O presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar e caracterizar variáveis acadêmicas e de carreira relacionadas à saúde mental de graduandos e, a partir destas, a elaborar de um modelo de investigação de saúde mental para a população de estudantes universitários. Tem como método uma busca sistemática realizada nas bases de dados Web of Science, PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus e no Portal BVS-saúde, tendo resultado a inclusão de 134 estudos para análise e discussão de resultados. Identificou-se que a saúde mental dos universitários é composta por aspectos positivos (satisfação de vida) e negativos (sintomas de ansiedade, estresse e depressão), é predita por fatores individuais, contextuais e acadêmicos. E em tal relação explicativa a autoeficácia ocupa um papel de mediador entre os fatores acadêmicos e a saúde mental. As variáveis identificadas fornecem subsídios teóricos para a construção de um instrumento de medida para avaliação da saúde mental de estudantes universitários.
