Abstract

This article aims to discuss the concept of landscape epistemologically speaking, as well as how it is applied in geographic science, verifying how approaches have been made in Brazil and what are the influences of other schools that the country has received. This article is accompanied by an empirical and bibliographical reading on the topic in question through a critical look. The methodology used to write the article was, at first, the assiduous reading of several articles and books that discuss the concept of Landscape, as well as others that work on the occupation of the Brazilian cerrado and its incorporation into the current economic model in the country.

Aires José Pereira, Fundação Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)

Possui graduação em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (1992), graduação em FILOSOFIA pelo CENTRO DE TEOLOGIA APLICADA INTEGRADA (2008), graduação em BACHAREL EM TEOLOGIA - SEMINÁRIO DE EDUCAÇÃO APOSTÓLICA (2005) e mestrado em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade de Brasília (1999). Atualmente é professor Assitente da Fundação Universidade Federal do Tocantins. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Tecnologia Educacional, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Araguaína - TO, cidade, ensino, urbanização e problemas sociais urbanos. Atualmente está cursando o Doutorado em Geografia pelo Programa DINTER - UFU/UFT

Aires José Pereira, Federal University of Rondonópolis

Graduated in Geography from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (1992), BA in THEOLOGY - SEMINAR OF APOSTOLIC EDUCATION (2005), BA in Philosophy by Faculdade João Calvino (2009), Master in Architecture and Urbanism by Universidade de Brasília (1999 ) and Ph.D. in Geography from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2013). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. He has experience in the area of ​​Urban and Regional Planning, with an emphasis on Urban and Regional Planning, working mainly on the following topics: Supervised Internship. Urban Geography. Agrarian geography. Didactics of Geography. Araguaína - TO, education, city, early grades and urbanization. He is coordinator of the Geography Course at UFR. He is the Supervised Internship Coordinator. He is coordinator of PIBID Geografia at UFR. He has 17 published books and several published articles. He is supervisor of the Cartography Laboratory.

Beatriz Ribeiro Soares, Federal University of Uberlândia

He holds a degree in Geography from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1974), a Masters in Geography (Human Geography) from the University of São Paulo (1988) and a Ph.D. in Geography (Human Geography) also from the University of São Paulo (1995). She is a full professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia and permanent professor in the postgraduate courses in Geography and Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has experience in the field of Geography, with an emphasis on Urban and Regional Geography, working mainly on the following subjects: Urban Geography; Urban and Regional Planning; Production of Urban Space Non-Metropolitan Urban Spaces.
