Abstract

The present research is by nature the scientific analysis of urban and socioeconomic phenomena in the city of Tocantinópolis - TO, located in the Bico do Papagaio region in the extreme north of the State of Tocantins, in the Amazon region. It aims to understand their socioeconomic influence on the surrounding municipalities, seeking to identify which of them depend directly and / or indirectly socioeconomically on that city. The research aims to supply the need for studies and bibliographic materials on the socioeconomic and territorial issues that are found in the Bico do Papagaio region, in the extreme north of the State of Tocantins. The few works developed and published on the subject are still unsatisfactory in view of the range of socio-economic and socio-territorial problems in that region.

Saimon Lima de Britto, Federal University of Goiás

PhD student in Geography at the Federal University of Goiás (IESA / UFG); Graduated and Master in Geography from the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT); Specialist in Human Rights Education at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT); Member of the Center for Studies and Research in Agrarian Geography and Territorial Dynamics (NEPAT / IESA / UFG); Member of the Center for Urban and Regional Urban Studies (NURBA / UFT); Environmental Inspector of the Nature of Tocantins Institute (Naturatins); He has experience in the areas of Agrarian Geography, Social Movements, Fight for Land, Small Cities in the Interior of Brazil, Region, Territory and Environment.

Aires José Pereira, Federal University of Rondonópolis

He is Associate Professor I at the Geography Collegiate of UFR. Cartography Laboratory Supervisor. Teaching Coordinator of the Geography Course at UFR. Coordinator of the PIBID of Geography. Supervised Internship Coordinator. Prof. Supervised Internship. Research Coordinator. Member of the NDE. Member of the ICHS. Member and President of Course Collegiate. He was a member of the Department of Geography. He was a member of the Municipal Council for the Environment of Rondonópolis. PhD in Geography from UFU - Federal University of Uberlândia; Master in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at UnB; with graduation and specialization in Geography from UFMT; Effective Member of the Academy of Letters of Araguaína and Norte Tocantinense; Research Member of NURBA; Co-author of the Official Anthem of Rondonópolis - MT. He has several articles published in Specialized Magazines and scientific events, in addition to 17 edited books, among them: "Geographic Essays and Poetic Interdisciplinarity" in the 6th Edition and "TANGARÁ DA SERRA; Nova Fronteira Agrícola e Sua Urbanização" in the 4th Edition, etc.
