Abstract

Professor Roselane Zordan Costella was a professor of Geography at the Colégio de Aplicação of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul between the years 2011 and 2012 and experienced important moments in her space and short work time. This interview presents a resumption of his trajectory, highlighting his life experiences, both academic and professional, as well as pointing out Geography teaching practices that Professor Roselane recognizes as outstanding. Analytical summaries of the life and work of this teacher who collaborated in the construction of a differentiated Geography teaching are presented. To conclude, Professor Roselane presents, from her experiences, some clues for young Geography teachers in initial training or in the beginning of their careers.

Author Biographies

Victor Hugo Nedel Oliveira, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul

PhD in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Degree and Master in Geography from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Conducts Postdoctoral studies in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He is a professor in the Humanities Department at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He is editor of Cadernos do Aplication Magazine and a member of the Rio Grande do Sul High School Observatory. He was a professor of Geography in the state and private networks in Porto Alegre. He was a writer for the FTD Teaching System, at Editora FTD. He published Youth Cultures and Teaching Geography and other titles. He is the leader of the Study and Research Group on Youth and Education (UFRGS). He participates in the following Research Groups: Study and Research Group on social issues at school (PUCRS); Research Group Continuing Education for Teachers (UFRGS); Research Group Thinking and Breaking in Contemporary Education (IFFar); Study Group on Youth and Public Policy (UFRGS). His main research interests revolve around the following themes: Contemporary Youth Cultures; Youths; Geography teaching; Urban Geography; Territorialities; Didactics of Geography; Scientific research; Basic school

Borba Bispo dos Santos, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul

Graduating in Geography from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), he currently holds a Scientific Initiation scholarship in the research project: "GEOGRAPHIC MEMORY OF THE UFRGS APPLICATION COLLEGE: RESCUE OF NARRATIVES OF GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS FROM CAP / UFRGS", under guidance from Prof. Dr. Victor Nedel, from the Humanities Department of the Colégio de Aplicação, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Previously he was a Volunteer Scientific Initiation scholarship holder in the research project: "(DE) MARKING THE CITY: URBAN EXPERIENCES FOR YOUNG STUDENTS OF UFRGS APPLICATION COLLEGE.
