Abstract

This article investigates the application of active methodologies through the use of didactic games and applications in teaching chemical ecology to third-year high school students in a public school in the city of Dianópolis, Tocantins. The historical importance of the use of technologies in global education and the impact on the teaching profile in the area of exact sciences, as well as the critical situation of a shortage of professionals in the north of Brazil and, in particular, in the state of Tocantins, are the motivators for the application of active methodologies in the intervention project. As a central axis, the theme of chemical ecology and semiochemicals within pedagogical practice, gives an interdisciplinary character to the supervised internship. The methodology covers the use of games such as dominoes, in addition to applications such as Kahoot, promoting dynamic and engaging learning. According to the result obtained, it can be concluded that using new methodologies through digital games, which are teaching tools, can improve chemistry teaching and can be a facilitator in the teaching-learning process, making it much more significant and also boosting teaching.
