Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the construction of the literary space, top analysis, and its form of representation in the reading and architecture of the novel, Cinzas do Norte (2005). The theoretical script is based on the analysis of the space of cities and forests presented in the urdira of the Hatounian novel that structure and dialogue with the narrator and the characters present in the text. The theoretical contributions of Luis Alberto Brandão (2013), Regina Delcastagnè (2003), Marisa Martins Gama-Khalil (2010), Ozíres Borges Filho (2007), Bachelard (1989), bring fundamental elements to the understanding of the functioning of spatiality in the composition of the narrative text. In Cinzas do Norte (2005), the space of cities and forests goes beyond the description of scenarios, are fundamental aspects in the development of the narrative, because it stars in a relationship of belonging to both the characters and the reader subject. From these readings it is possible to observe that the contemporary Amazonian novel does not provide space (s), cities, rivers and forests; there is an interrelation between forests and rivers, which govern the cycles, lives, narratives and Amazonian subjects. Whether they are real or fictitious.
