A ESCRITA BOPPIANA COMO UM PERCURSO DAS SUAS VIAGENS

Abstract

This article deals with the path of the modernist poet and obstinate traveller Raul Bopp, including his work both in the Anthropophagic Movement and his commitment to the dissemination and edition of the Anthropophagy Magazine. For Bopp, the journey determines the writing. It is open to the world seen, imagined, visited. Fundamentally, it emphasizes the very special Boppian writing, developed between and during trips, often dispersive, fragmentary, inconstant, other times telegraphic and abbreviated, as in the correspondences sent to friends. In the literary texts, something erratic can be observed, with its retakes and repetitions, also not abdicating the obsessive search for perfection, as in Cobra Norato. It also emphasizes the use of diminutives as a mark of his formation and the marked propensity of Modernism for the transformation of normative language (with its classicizing rhetorical tendencies) into a more relaxed, ironic and playful language. And He also evidences the creation process, the thematic diversity, the preparations for writing and the outline of the plot of his Cobra Norato, a core poem of Brazilian Modernism.  Finally, writing on a trip and about trips, fragmentarily, renews the anthropophagic process of devouring everything around him, when he moves.
