AY KAKYRI TAMA: RESISTÊNCIA, IDENTIDADE E DESCONSTRUÇÃO DE ESTEREÓTIPOS

Abstract

Throughout history, much has been shown about the “great deeds” of colonizers to countries that went through the colonization process. In literature, this interpretation was shared by “whites” based on visions of literary canons of a graphocentric tradition. However, in modern times, especially since the 1990s, in Brazil, we see the emergence, in the literary field, of writing that will tell the story from the point of view of the colonized. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how issues of cultural identity, resistance, discrimination and belonging are manifested in the work “Ay Kakyri Tama: eu moro no cidade”, by the indigenous writer Márcia Wayna Kambeba. The work will be bibliographical research of an investigative interpretative nature within the scope of the human and social sciences; for that, we highlight as relevant authors: Sá (2011), Munduruku (2000), Dorrico (2019), and Kambeba (2012, 2019). As some of the results achieved, we can say that in the face of a world that devastates, threatens and attacks indigenous populations in different ways, Márcia Kambeba brilliantly uses in her literary art speeches that defend her relatives and their identities, that show and denounce the aggressions suffered, territorial losses and the genocide of indigenous peoples.
