Beetroot is an important vegetable for food, having a good acceptance due to its sweet taste. The production of seedlings is an important step in beet cultivation and studying ways to optimize production efficiency is important, especially with a view to making the seedling more able to face the adverse conditions found in the field. In this context, the objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of the different forms of application of Trichoderma in the production process of beet seedlings. Different forms of application of Trichoderma were tested in the production process of beet seedlings. The experiment was carried out in the agricultural greenhouse of the UFFS campus Chapecó. The treatments used were: without application of Trichoderma harzianum (control) application of Trichoderma harzianum in the seed treatment, in the substrate at the time of sowing and at 7 days after sowing (DAS). Seedling emergence, shoot height, number of leaves/seedling, root length, dry mass of shoots and roots of seedlings were evaluated. The results obtained were submitted to analysis of variance and comparison of means (p<0.05). Thus, it is concluded that the application of Trichoderma harzianum strain ESALQ-1306 provides positive effects on the production of beet seedlings, cultivar Chata do Egypt, under the conditions in which this research was carried out; in general, the application in the substrate (T2 and T3) provided better performance of seedlings, in most of the evaluated parameters.
