Teoria Crítica e Análise do Discurso: a mídia como objeto comum

Abstract

The purpose of this article in ansaistic tone is to bring to Critical Theory and Discourse Analysis a point of contact that goes beyond its theoretical assumptions, but does not ignore them. The media, in its broadest sense, was and continues to be the object of preponderant research that connects, from the point of view of scope, the sciences of language and the social sciences and, consequently, for that reason, we ply their respective lands in the figures Critical Theory, and Discourse Analysis, to draw approximations. To do so, we observe some of the main epistemological traits that organize these two areas and we use them in an analysis of a mediatic text whose main value is to discursivizar, in microscopic measure, the operation of contemporary society. From this procedure of theoretical, analytical, and methodological employment, it is hoped that a productive union can be established to produce a continuous and mutual updating between Critical Theory and Discourse Analysis.
