Abstract

Abstract: This article presents a bibliographic study, which Pizzani (2012) reports as “[...] a literature review on the main theories that guide scientific work” on digital genres. In this text, we address the impacts that these genres have in the classroom, and the importance of teacher training for effective learning. Based on authors such as Marcuschi (2004), Rojo (2012) and Simão (2022), who analyze the didactic possibilities of these genres in everyday school life, as well as the fundamental role of the teacher in the face of these updates, and for this effective implementation, continued training of teachers is necessary, ensuring the skills to deal with technological resources. The study highlights that digital genres, such as podcasts, memes, social media posts, blogs and e-mail, not only dialogue with students' interests, but also favor the construction of critical thinking. In addition, the text includes approaches on methodological strategies that value the conscious use of digital.
