THE TACTILE SIGN LANGUAGE IN COMMUNICATION WITH DEAFBLINDNESS
FOR AN EFFECT OF LINGUISTIC MODE

Thinking the linguistics of sign languages from the effects of linguistic modality transcribed no longer by reference to orality, presupposes, in addition to a paradigm break, the constitution of an epistemological look at the very conception of sign languages. This study proposes to claim the possibility of a linguistic modality constituted from the structural bases of sign language, when the expressive and receptive field is no longer oral-auditory and visuospatial, but is established based on the haptic tactility proposed by the communication between deafblind speakers . It is, then, a bibliographic and analytical study on the sign language and its linguistic structures, having as a theoretical framework the conceptions of linguistic modality. The results of this study intend to initiate a discussion in the field of Linguistics, not yet addressed, about the possibility of modal legitimacy on sign languages from the tactile aspect of their communication in the field of deafblindness.
