Abstract

The work consists of 12 chapters with an emphasis on the issues of traditional parks / populations. It discusses nature without man and nature / man interdependencies, also developing a debate about the impact of development and the importance of defending traditional cultures in preserving not only natural diversity, but also traditional experiences and peoples.

Eliseu Pereira de Brito, Federal University of Tocantins

He has a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and a Degree in Geography from the Federal University of Tocantins. He has a master's degree in Geography from the Federal University of Grande Dourados. PhD in Geography from the Federal University of Goiás. Leader of the GEGATO Research Group - Group of Geographic Studies of the Amazon and Tocantins, Researcher at the Center for Urban, Aggregate and Regional Studies - NURBA / UFT. Develops research on the territorial formation of Northern Goiano / State of Tocantins. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of the Geography Course at the Federal University of Tocantins - Campus de Araguaína.
