Abstract

The post-harvest life of the mango is limited by the deterioration Functions metabus by the excessive ripening of the fruit and by the development of pathogens that cause rot. The angular spot is caused by the microorganism Xanthomonas campestris PV Mangiferaeindicae is a disease that attacks branches, leaves, inflorescences and mango fruits in prolonged humid periods. The growing concern with the concept of market quality and the preservation of the environment have increased the demand for healthy fruits and no residues of agrochemicals, with an increasing need for alternative control strategies. The first measure of control is the choice of the site, it should be avoided CRP under the influence of large bodies of water, such as dams of hydroelectric plants, because they create a favorable environment to the development of the bacterium. The second measure is the use of healthy seedlings and nurseries located in regions where the disease does not occur. Several researches and the chemical structure and natural antimicrobial activity of plants, fruits, vegetables, grains and herbs. Efforts have concentrated on the use of natural resources such as extracts and essential oils.
