Abstract

When we think of literature as a space for studying national (dis)identities, we can bring up great and diverse authors who, each in their own time, promoted important movements in this discussion. In this scenario of national ruptures, many of the reflections that emerged, such as racism, class prejudice and sexuality were themes that appeared in the works, breaking the expectation of an ideal reality and problematizing a diversity of realities that plague not only the daily lives of the subjects in interaction, but also as a reflection portrayed by the literary scope of the time. In this way, we seek to reflect on the management of authorship in Conceição Evaristo's Ponciá Vicêncio (2018), based on its inscriptional materiality and the values attributed to it and the scholar's image of the author. To this end, within the framework of discursive studies, we will mobilize the notion of author image (Maingueneau, 2006, 2010, 2016) to analyze the management of the discursive place of author and the aspects of the inscription materiality and the constitution of its value from the reception pole of the work. Finally, we used the notion of intersectionality (Collins; Bilge, 2020, Collins, 2022) to reflect on the influence that intersectional power relations have in publishing and how it can be used as a form of intellectual resistance.
