Coletivo Xica Manicongo: Transepistemologias, Lutas coletivas e Políticas públicas

Abstract

This article aims to narrate the construction of the Xica Manicongo-UFG Collective – Trans
Transvestite Students’ Collective of the Federal University of Goiás –, in 2022, to give visibility
to its political actions at the university, through the production and mobilization of
transepistemologies, proposals and construction of public policies (2022-2025) for Trans
Transvestite students at UFG. Based on documents prepared by the Collective, in addition to
others co-produced by UFG, I present the narrative of the mobilizations of black trans and
transvestite bodies, with their developments in historical and recent public policies at this
university. The article Xica Manicongo: transgeneridade toma a palavra, by Jaqueline Gomes
Jesus (2019), and the concept of “transnarrativências”, by the author (2024), support the
problematizations made in this narrative. The narrative follows the course of events in order to
make visible the emerging transpotentialities of transvestite bodies at the university. This
production is justified by considering the advances and challenges that mark the trajectory of
this university and its relations with minority groups, especially the trans population, and the
force of re-existence as a transformative action at the university.
