Abstract

The collection of "Comments on Literature", organized by Álvaro Cardoso Gomes e Sônia Regina Rodrigues Neves, bring as one of those comments the work of Jorge Amado (1988). In that work the authors aim to present literature in a didatic way, relying on literary theory and criticism to set up about the forms  of teaching literature. It is possible to see in the work the reader biases to different kinds of knowledge, creating a gap between what is the teaching of literature and what is being taught. Realizing this gap in education and its didactization through literature, this research states about the importance of the reader in the consumption of the esthetic text, so to coduct new reading practices. Thereunto, the researche relies on the theories of Sartre (1999), Lajolo (2004), Soares (1999), Barthes (1977), Melo e Silva (2011), among others theorists. In conclusion, it is understood that the editorial choices, covering a specific editing purposes, subdues the student's reading ability, completing the ideological paths of its creators.
