TECENDO FIOS PARA UMA CRÍTICA SOBRE AS PERSPECTIVAS DA BNCC FRENTE AO ENSINO DE LITERATURAS

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to reflect on the importance of literatures teaching and its place in the Base Nacional Comum Curricular. Therefore, we start with a discussion about the role of literary texts during school education; subsequently, we contextualize the process of preparation and homologation of the BNCC; and, finally, we present our analysis of the BNCC in relation to the teaching of literatures. It was concluded that the curricular organization in the field of literatures teaching in contemporary Brazil is of fundamental importance, considering the literary potential for the critical, political, cultural and humanistic development of the individual. However, the BNCC reveals major flaws in this commitment, because it presents, as one of its pillars, the language of entrepreneurship, favouring technicist education. Literary reading is presented through intangible or superficial concepts, literary theory and criticism lose space to the valuation of diverse textual genres, and the political relevance – historically transgressive – of literary texts is ignored in favour of pure aesthetic appreciation or uncritical exploration of different artistic movements and historical periods, contributing to the process of devaluation of the development of curricular proposals.
