COMPARISON BETWEEN ASL, LIBRAS AND LSU TOPONYMS
Abstract
ABSTRAT
This study presents the three languages ASL, Libras and LSU referending the linguistic typology together with the area of toponymy signed with three countries mentioned as Brazil, United States and Uruguay. Motivate this research for Signed Linguistics of the deaf community anywhere in the world and furthermore increase its structure of linguistic studies in the area of toponyms included in other research carried out by authors that involve their deaf community. We follow his base of analysis emerged by Urbanski, Xavier and Ferreira 2019 and Carneiros 2020. Within signed toponymy it presents two loan and native categories, we use them to work in the area of linguistic typology with three mentioned signed languages. The result revealed that ASL showed the loan with the highest percentage than other languages, with 96% American place-names, LSU was second in native referendum with 74% uruguayans place-names and Libras was considered as moderate with 63% of loans and 37% of natives.
