Hunters of ideologies
Brazilian extreme-right in its crusade against modernity

We will analyze the Brazilian extreme-right’s theoretical-political position, particularly in terms of Jair Messias Bolsonaro and Olavo de Carvalho. We will point to the fact that both define themselves exactly as hunters of ideologies; and we especially intend to demonstrate how this criticism of the ideology becomes, in truth, a radical contraposition, founded on a huge falsification, to Western modernity-modernization, generating an anti-systemic, anti-institutional, antipolitical, anti-scientific and anti-universalist perspective that undermines the rule of law, the pluralism-diversity and the human rights as a whole, submitting this same democracy to a pre-political, pre-cultural and a-historic condition streamlined in terms of religious-biological determination of the anthropology-culture-normativity and in last instance leading, by means of this ideological war, to the refusal as a whole of politics, institutions and science.
