Robot soccer consists of applying artificial intelligence with objectives and rules similar to traditional soccer. In this research, we address the progress achieved in the tactical development for the iBots/UFT team of Robot Soccer in the 2D Simulation category of RoboCup. The proposal of the work is to show the approaches to seek the improvement of the team’s performance based on data analysis obtained through the trainer agent. With possession of this data, it is possible to configure the trainer agent to make interventions in the game, when possible and necessary, in order to make player substitutions, modify the game formation, or simply change the team’s behavior so that it is more defensive or offensive.
