Perspectivas da leitura literária na escola pública:
Um estudo de caso
Abstract
This article deals with a case study about the literature and the teaching of literary reading in the public school, specifically in high school, involving students who have completed this stage of schooling. The challenge of reading and having literature as the mainspring for this purpose justifies and corroborates the commitment made in this work. Thus, the objective is to verify the interest and level of high school graduates in relation to reading and literary reading. To achieve the intended objective, a questionnaire containing qualitative and quantitative questions is applied. Because this research is historical and descriptive (ANDRADE, 1999), anchored in theoretical assumptions contained in references from the fields of reading and literature, the investigation basically followed the procedures determined in case study research (LÜDKE & amp; ANDRÉ, 1986). To substantiate and support the discussions and reflections, it is also appropriate to study (FOUCAMBERT, 1994), (ZILBERMAN, 2012), (COSSON, 2014), among others. From the analysis of the questionnaires, according to what the scholars point out, it was found that most students said they had the habit of reading, but have certain deficiencies in relation to literary reading. This is true even though most people say they like to read. It was evident from the analysis of the answers that the greatest difficulty of the students is to be able to absorb the content of the literary text completely.
