OS ASPECTOS DE ORALIDADE NAS HISTÓRIAS EM QUADRINHOS
Abstract
In the present paper, we intend to analyze the structure of the comic book and cartoon textual genre. In this regard, it starts from the theory pointed out by Bakhtin, Marcuschi, Kock and Elias, among other researchers, who claim that genres are relatively stable standard forms of structuring different utterances for specific communicational events. Furthermore, comics are graphic narratives, with stories narrated frame by frame, composed of a written textual portion and an imagery portion. For the analysis of its structure, different categories presented by the theory of Conversation Analysis are mobilized, such as discursive topic, turns and conversational markers, since the comics simulate a natural conversation, through a supposed face-to-face interaction, in which, at least, two interlocutors change the roles of speaker and listener. In addition, role of genre-specific visual elements, such as balloon, pigtail, frame/vignette and subtitles, is observed. These elements, known as the basic composition of a comic, will be described in the observation of a clipping of, at least, two comics. It is expected to demonstrate that, despite being a previously planned text, in comics, it is possible to find different marks of orality, one of its main characteristics, which contribute to the construction of meaning in this textual genre.
