The film La mala educación (2004), by Pedro Almodóvar, has the film director Enrique Goded as an important character. One relevant moment of the plot is when that character, planning a cinematographic adaptation, starts reading the novel La Visita, written by his childhood friend Ignácio Rodriguez. While Goded reads, the scenes from his future movie appear in a preview of what is still a project at that moment. The objective of this text is to analyse how the arrangement of the scene promotes the analysis of the role of the film director of organizing in a movie the images that arise during his readings of works of art and facts of life. The hipotesis it that Almodóvar’s proposal is to make us think in the film directors as readers and in the films as final products of their readings lifelong.
