Cogito, sum: An Anlysis of the Statute of Descartes' first Certainly from three Perspectives

Abstract

In this paper, we will analyze the statute of Decartes’ Cogito from  3 perspectives: 1. as an inferential intuition, based on Peter Markie’s lecture; 2. As an performative act, baseds on Jaakko Hintikka lecture; 3. And, finally, in the form of an immediate intuition, baseds on Gueroult, Forlin and our own studies. In this way, we intend to demontrate the interpretative limitations of first two biases of lecture, emphasizing the need to conceive of the status of the Cogito in the light of immediate intuition, proposing an interpretation that highlights the inseparable and identity aspect of the parts that compose the interior of Descartes’s first certainty.
