Analysis of the relationship between natura law and human nature in Thomas Aquinas, from the Summa theologiae (STh. Ia-IIae, q. 94, a. 2 ad 2). The paper intends to highlight some problems related to the classical notion of human nature and how it can be linked to the natural moral law. The notion of the transcendental good is seen as the foundation of the first principles of practical reason. This transcendental perspective should lead us to a normative view of the role of natural inclinations in the conception of natural law.
