War is commonly seen as a male space. We hardly encounter women on the battlefields. Even more rare is the presence of women photojournalists in the coverage of the war. In this article, we resorted to authors Susan Sontag and Judith Butler to reflect on women's role in the history of war photography. We take as object of study the singularities of the life and work of the photographer Lee Miller.
