Abstract

In this paper we review the traditional models to address psychosocial risks at work (PSRW) that were developed from the concept of stress, proposed by H. Selye. Then, we detail the theoretical concepts that are at the foundation of the new approach to psychosocial risks at work (RPST): the value of human work, the logic that underlies the dominant mode of production, the evolution of the labour process and the wage relationship. Finally, we point out the close relationships that exist between work and health.
