Abstract

The objective of this article is to present and analyze the theoretical and methodological principles adopted by the practice of clinical listening aimed at workers, in the individual care modality, developed as a supervised internship in the Applied Psychology Service (SPA) of the Course of Psychology of the Federal Fluminense University of Rio das Ostras under the responsibility of the author. This practice started in 2014 and is still in progress. During this period, 22 trainee students participated in the attendance and attended around 38 municipal servants readaptados and 21 workers of the region interested. We consider that one of the main challenges of the clinician in the proposal we develop is to work the therapeutic setting to make it a welcoming space to talk about himself, to get in touch with his experience, to favor the expression of suffering in order to power. The principles of this practice have been constructed from the Psychodynamics of Work and the Psychotherapy Brief proposed by Hector Fiorini and we believe that the dialogue between such references has contributed to the exercise of clinical listening.
