A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DE HANNA ARENDT PARA A INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO DOS DIREITOS HUMANOS NA OBRA "ENTRE O PASSADO E O FUTURO"

Abstract

For Hanna Arendt, totalitarian regimes left structural damage in society, reaching the traditionally established patterns, in the most diverse fields, from social to political, highlighting the connection between them. In the work “Between the past and the future” the author demonstrates her concerns about the political reflection she made in the 20th century, emphasizing the common characteristic that with the advent of modernity, human beings live between the past and the uncertain future. It demonstrates the break with tradition, the crisis of thought and the consequences of this for the world, with the aim of seeking solutions to this crisis. Thus, this article seeks to connect the findings made by the author to the internationalization of human rights, examining the contribution of Hanna Arendt's thought to the realization of these rights in postmodernity.
