Abstract

Soy is a seasonal grain that has been moving a large part of the Brazilian market, exporting or for domestic consumption. In this sense, due to the commercial interest of the oil and protein contents of the grains, which are affected by genetic differences and by environmental effects, the present study was proposed. The effect of three sowing dates (12/18, 01/04 and 02/01/2022) was evaluated in seven soybean cultivars under low latitude, with a view to the oil and protein contents of the grains. The experimental design used was a case-by-case block design with seven treatments and four replications. The treatments were NEO 720 IPRO, OLIMPO IPRO, MSOY 8644 RR, BONUS IPRO, MSOY 8349 RR, DM 82I78 RR, NEO 850 IPRO. Higher temperatures and lower average rainfall contributed to the increase in protein content and reduction in the oil content of grains. Cultivar MSOY 8644 RR showed higher oil content and NEO 850 IPRO and MSOY 8349 RR higher protein content in grains.
