The use of the PhET Simulator for teaching Mathematics

Abstract

Stimulation is an important pedagogical tool that is available to the teacher, which can help in the process of the teaching and learning concepts related to Mathematics. Besides this, it is part of Digital Information and Communication Technologies, whose use is stimulated within the BNCC. There are currently several programs developed in this line, but the present study focuses on presenting the PhET simulator and proposing an active methodology for the use of this resource. Which demonstrates to the teacher the importance of the planning of activities and the facilitation of the learning process with the use of the stimulator and the instigation of tutors to enhance their classes in a playful way with the use of the computer.
