VACINAL STATE AND IMMUNIZATION RECORDS FOR CHILDREN IN CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Abstract

Introducion: In Brazil since the XIX century immunization has played a fundamental role in the control and eradication of diseases. Objective: To identify the vaccination status and evaluate the records of immunobiological in the Child Health Handbooks of students at a Center for Early Childhood Education. Method: Quantitative study carried out by verifying data in 106 Child Health Handbooks of schoolchildren aged 2 a 6 years. Descriptive analysis was carried out. Results: There was a vaccination delay in 19,81% of the  Child Health Handbooks. Considering the age groups and the national immunization schedule, from 0 a 6 months 39,35% of doses were administered late, between 9 and 15 moths 55,54% in those over 48 months 40,63%. Regarding the evaluation of the records of the vaccines administered it was found that 98,23% of the notes were legible and complete. Conclusion: Approximately one fifth had an inadequate vaccination status and significant percentage of the vaccines administered were delayed. Most of the immunobiological records were adequate.
