Abstract

The teaching of modern mathematics, increasingly, is based on different ways of transmitting mathematical content, in a way that is closer to the individual's logical thinking, reducing the abstraction of the discipline with practical and everyday applications that involve the different themes covered since basic education to higher education. The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) for high school in Brazil has already introduced content into the subject's curricular structure that refers to the direct application of mathematical concepts seen only as abstract, today as programming tools and algorithms for problem solving. This article aims to present the study of basic concepts of differential calculus in high school as another option to assist in the establishment and application of topics related to mathematics and its related areas.
