About AJCEAM
The Academic Journal on Computing, Engineering and Applied Mathematics (AJCEAM) is a biannual journal from Universidade Federal do Tocantins, Brazil, that aims to provide a communication and dissemination channel for academic work in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering and Applied Mathematics. Given the need for the dissemination of new research aimed at the branches of computer-centric science, and knowing that technologies only come with the development of solid and widely tried scientific methods, therefore, the AJCEAM fosters scientific research in Computer Science, Engineering and Applied Mathematics in its nature and its many specificities.
Scientific research will be accepted in the following modalities: Research Article, Brief Communication, Technical Report, and Special Session.
It is understood by:
- Research Article - material based on an original and not yet clarified scientific hypothesis, which is validated or not through experimentation or theoretical models, based on the scientific method, with adequate statistical planning and discussion with scientific arguments (minimum of five and maximum of ten pages);
- Brief Communication - short and/or quick communication of search results (minimum of three and maximum of four pages);
- Technical Report - document of a technical nature to describe procedures for the elaboration of experiments use cases in tools for the specific use of a certain area of research or performance, demonstration or proof of concepts that can help or be used in the development of research (minimum of five and maximum of ten pages);
- Special Session - this section is intended for the publication of monographs, scientific initiation projects, and reports on university extension experiences, from undergraduate students of the Computer Science and Food Engineering courses at the Federal University of Tocantins.
In this direction, the journal AJCEAM will accept original contributions, in a continuous flow, in the following areas of interest, categorized by major fields:
- Computing: Computer Systems;
- Theory of Computation; Information Systems; and Mathematics of Computation.
- Food Engineering: Transport Phenomena and Unit Operations; Biotechnology Applied to the Food Industry; and Production Chains and Eco-development.
- Computing, Engineering, and Mathematics Education.
The AJCEAM publishes two issues a year. However, the publication of papers in advanced or ahead of print mode, i.e. as soon as approved manuscripts are edited for publication, is possible. The AJCEAM does not have publication fees, or submission of manuscripts, being totally free for authors and readers.
