Abstract

This work aimed to analyze the talks present in the state of Tocantins in the semantic field of popular games. And as this semantic field promotes remembre, we also intersperse in this research some reflections on the formation of the state of Tocantins (officially regarded as the newest state in Brazil). These reflections had as a guiding thread the following question: what are the influences of migratory flows on the composition of the talks found in Tocantins? To achieve this goal, we used a research guided by multi-dimensional dialectology and a corpus with a topodynamic profile, data were collected in locus through semi-structured interviews. The results found were as follows: although Tocantins has emancipated itself from a state in the Midwest region, Goiás, the talks found in the research are much closer, of the northern and mainly northeastern regions than its preceptor. These findings are in line with the reflections proposed in Silva's research (2018).
