This article sets out to develop and discuss a possible reading hypothesis for the work of philosopher Catherine Malabou. The critique of form that she carries out from her earliest writings allows her to value it beyond presence, but without appealing to a transcendence that presents itself outside the movement of formation. In this discussion of form, Malabou discovers a new idea of materialism, which makes it possible to consider in another way the self-affective structure that underlies the speculative movement and the nature of subjectivity. From this consideration, we will try to show that an impersonality and indifference, which is in a sense a moment of disaffection, allows us to understand in a different way the broad reflection on plasticity, a fundamental operational concept that runs through much of Malabou's work.
