The article aims to discuss the philosophy of Brazil, its challenges, and possible solutions, from an interdisciplinary and historical approach. The text presents an analysis of Brazilian university philosophy, its origins, and activity in the 21st century, highlighting that much of the academic production is unauthentic due to being a foreign exegesis. Furthermore, the condition of indigenous peoples and enslaved Blacks is discussed, exposing how they were dehumanized by colonization and their precarious living conditions and their relationship with how we see ourselves. Based on this, the article proposes reflection on the need to think about Brazilian philosophy from its situationality and historicity, overcoming the inferiority complex and creating authentic and original academic production that reflects our identity and individuality, while still engaging in dialogue with other philosophical traditions.
