The dialogue with Prof. Newton took place at a particularly turbulent moment in the Brazilian democratic experience. In this conversation, the interviewee assumes the position of "professor of political philosophy" to address issues of extreme relevance to our democracy, emphasizing the importance of understanding its founding values, notably freedom and the role of its institutions.
