Democracia, Hannah Arendt, Adriana CavareroAbstract
Adriana Cavarero, a prominent Italian philosopher, is recognized for her studies on ancient and contemporary philosophical thought. As professor of philosophy at the University of Verona, she stands out for her approach centered on "sexual difference", enriching the discussion of Hannah Arendt's thought through the perspective of feminist philosophy. In "Democrazia sorgiva. Note sul pensiero politico di Hannah Arendt", from 2019, Cavarero challenges conventional interpretations with an original and sometimes "uncomfortable" approach to the topic. The translation of the first chapter of this book, entitled in the original "L'idea di democrazia" aims to make her enriching perspective on Arendtian thought available to a wider audience.
