The study here apresented is about the love concept for the danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. In that perspective, the concept is related with the christian commandment of love of similar. We clarify the meaning of "duty to love" and the “similar” to whom it refers. We observe some criticism about this idea of love writings for Theodaor Adorno, german Philosopher. He demonstrates the impossibility of “love” being a duty and loving a faceless person.
