Abstract

Leslie Kern is a Canadian feminist geographer. She is currently an associate professor of geography, environment and director of women's and gender studies at Mount Allison University in Sackville, Canada. She has several works in the area of ​​urban geography on the themes of feminism, gender and gentrification. The book now reviewed, “ciudad feminista”, originally published in 2019, has become a rapid editorial success, having been translated in Germany, Argentina and recently in Brazil.

Author Biography

Reges Sodré, Goias Federal University

Graduated in Geography, Licentiate, by the Federal University of Tocantins (2014). Master's Degree in Geography from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2016). PhD student in Geography at IESA/UFG. Develops research on urban network, urban violence, medium and small cities. He is a member of the Geographical Studies of the Amazon and Tocantins research group - GEGATO and a participant in Redes e Produção do Território (GéTER). During graduation, he was a Scientific Initiation Scholar (2011-2013, PIBIC/CNPq) and Climatology monitor (2013-2014).
