A RELAÇÃO ENTRE O SÍTIO E O TRAÇADO URBANO EM JARDIM CAMBURI (VITÓRIA/ES)

Abstract

This article aims to identify the evolutionary periods of urban occupation in the Jardim Camburi neighborhood (Vitória/ES), as well as analyze the landscape based on the relationship between site and urban layout. This is a neighborhood whose urbanization process is associated with the implementation of an industrial, steel and port complex, starting in 1970. The methodological procedures adopted consist of bibliographical review on the study of urban form and its relationship with the site; collection of data on natural aspects; iconography; identification of the urban layout in the years 1955, 1962, 1970, 1978, 1998, 2003 and 2008, based on aerial photogrammetric survey. The theoretical framework adopted involves Urban Morphology and landscape analysis, particularly the historical-geographical approach, in distinguishing the concepts of urban plan and layout, as well as evolutionary periods, morphological regions and morphological periods. As a result, the genesis region of the urban form in the neighborhood under analysis was identified, as well as six Evolutionary Periods. In conclusion, it was possible to verify a formal continuity in the two initial periods; However, over time and with changes in urban legislation, it was found that the urban layout in the following periods did not follow the same logic, dimensions and shapes.
