Abstract

Evaluate the health profile, to know some risk behaviors in students at a multicampi public university, in the cities of Petrolina-PE and Juazeiro-BA, as a definition strategy for health education activities. This is a quantitative, analytical-exploratory research. In data collection a questionnaire was used, in addition to the capture of anthropometric data. In the data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used. 219 students from 18 undergraduate courses participated in the research. 57.53% were male. The average age was 22.32 years. 43.84% consumed alcohol. 36.52% had a change in body mass index. 36.99% were sedentary. 48.86% said they didn't sleep well. 18.87% affirmed the consumption of sugar, fat and industrialized. The most important oral health problems were: malocclusion, partial edentulism, caries and gingivitis. 46.58% said they had non -transmissible chronic disease. About mental health, 26.9% said the medical diagnosis of depression and 16.89% have already wanted to kill themselves or tried suicide. Given the results, there is a need for specific interventions to promote health and adopt a healthy lifestyle to improve quality of life. Thus, there is a need for educational projects aimed at each gender, period and course.
