Abstract

ABSTRACT
Agricultural activities contributed to the increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, due to
deforestation, especially in Brazil, where the Cerrado lost 13% of plant cover between 1990 and 2010. This
study aims to quantify the carbon stock in Solos of Cerrado on different states of degradation, including areas
of native forest, recent pasture, pasture in good condition, and areas of degraded pasture. The study was
carried out at Fazenda Alta Mira, not Tocantins, and the variables studied include density of only, humidity
theory, organic matter and carbon theory not only, calculation of calagem and adubação and carbon stock
not only. The experimental design used was entirely random in subdivided plots, being that the plots or
system are subplots at depth, with 4 repetitions at each depth, totaling 32 plots. The variables studied are:
concentration of nutrients, density of soil, moisture content, organic matter content, carbon and carbon
stock not only. The analysis showed that pasture systems improved natural fertility alone and maintained the
natural condition alone in relation to carbon stock..
