Abstract

The registration of computer programs is essential for Science and Technology Institutions (STI) as it promotes intellectual property protection, encourages innovation, and facilitates partnerships with the private sector, consequently fostering technology transfer. This qualitative study, employing descriptive and exploratory approaches, analyzed 22 technological showcases from STIs, selected from the report of the National Forum of Innovation and Technology Transfer Managers (FORTEC), and classified 70 registered software programs from UFT into strategic areas. The proposed new showcase model includes individual pages for each software, support and assistance, security information, and free demonstrations. UFT's software programs were categorized into 7 economic segments, covering agribusiness, technology, health, biodiversity, public management and entrepreneurship, educational management, and others. The proposal aims to standardize information and strengthen the connection between academic innovations and market demands, aligning with the University's strategic objectives. This approach facilitates technology transfer and drives institutional and technological development, promoting innovation and collaboration between academia and the productive sector.
