Abstract

According to the National Social Assistance Policy - PNAS /2004, the Special Social Protection of Medium Complexity aims to: protect victims of violence and/or aggression and people in unfavorable personal and social contingencies, in order to expand the its ability to autonomously face the problems of personal and social life arising from the capitalist system, with the principle of monitoring and reducing social problems. CREAS is the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance. It is a state unit responsible for providing specialized and ongoing guidance and support to individuals and families with their rights violated. For this, it involves a set of professionals and work processes that must offer support and specialized monitoring. The main objective is to rescue the family, enhancing its ability to protect its members. The methodology used was an exploratory-descriptive documental study, with a quantitative approach, which seeks to analyze the work developed at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance in Colinas in the State of Tocantins. Data collection for 2007 to 2021. The study shows the importance of the work developed by CREAS and its challenges in the face of the dismantling of social policies.
