Abstract

Domestic violence against women is a complex issue rooted in social organization, economic structure, and social power. In this context, this research is focused on the "Despertar" Program of the State Court of Justice of Tocantins (TJTO), which develops actions aimed not only at women experiencing violence but also at the perpetrators who participate in the reflective and accountability groups of the Program. In this sense, the objective of this research is to analyze the profile of perpetrators of domestic and family violence against women in Palmas, TO, and contribute to the development of strategies to address and prevent gender-based violence.
