Abstract

The present paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of judicialization of public health in the city of Natal/RN, outlining the profile of the claimants and their requests, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. For theoretical basis, we carried out a systematic literature review, from the Google Scholar database, which was produced in 16 articles. This paper was used to answer the data analysis. Regarding the methodological procedures, we carried out a descriptive and documentary research in 188 cases of the 1st instance of the judiciary in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Of these, 47, between the March 2020 and May 2021 processes, there was a reason for a Covid-1 pandemic, that is, a public increase in actions had a significant increase in the actions developed. In general, the profile of free men, with more years of marriage, with income from marriage and who asked for money from private lawyers.
