This is a work on the representations of masculinity in “Working To Pay My Beer” (2015), “Motorocker, a Lenda” (2019) and “O Guerreiro” (2018), videoclips by DNA, Stress and Roosevelt Bala, bands/ musician of the heavy metal scene from Pará (2015-2019). They were released, created on YouTube and independently produced, to promote, respectively, “Love And Hate” (2015) and “Devastation” (2019), albums by DNA and Stress, in addition to celebrating Roosevelt Bullet’s 40th career. The aim is to analyze the scripts of performed masculinities by workers, bikers and warriors, characters of audiovisual narratives, in moments divided between work spaces, bar, forts and prisons in Belém-PA, along the imaginary highways of desert territories. I bring the concepts of decolonial scene (QUEIROZ, 2019, 2021; SILVA, 2018), masculinity (CONNEL, 2005; JANUÁRIO, 2016), whiteness (DYER, 1997; MULLER; CARDOSO, 2017), gender (CONNELL; PEARSE, 2015), intersectionality (BOLA, 2020; DAVIES, 2016; CONNELL, 2005), music video as a product of media and “post-MTV” culture (SOARES, 2013; PEREIRA DE SÁ, 2016), performance (TAYLOR, 2013) and connected listening (JANOTTI JR, 2020), in addition to the video clip analysis methods indicated by Soares (2013, 2014), to substantiate the research questions: Who are these bodies shown in these media products? What social markers define their identities, their masculinities? How are they built? How their representations relate to each other?
